These walks were held in three major cities on the same day – New York, Los Angeles and Miami – were created and organized by Ali, Matt and Jackie Landes, to support their mom, who has a rare form of cancer, called Liposarcoma.  She is currently undergoing treatment as part of a clinical trial.  To date, the disease can be treated, but not cured.  Because of the rarity of this cancer, the cure depends solely on new research.  Sarcoma researchers must rely primarily on private funding, because government funds are used for more well-known cancers.

Your generous donations helped us raise awareness of Liposarcoma and more than $225,000 for research.

For The Wendy Walk New York, we gathered at 91st Street and Madison Avenue, did a Central Park loop back to 91st Street and Madison Avenue, where one of Wendy's dear friends hosted a brunch. (Click here to see a map)

A donation of at least $25 per person was required to participate. If you could not make it, but would like to donate, we would be very grateful.
